conducts Plein Air Workshops. Contact Nancy at

Nancy Carver
Thompson, the speaker at our April meeting, will
offer a two day workshop on sketching on location or
from your photos to small color studies of the
subject. The workshop will cover composition and how
to use color. The workshop will be from 9:30 am
until 3:00 pm on Monday & Tuesday June 21st & 22nd
at the Onancock School. The fee for the workshop is
$60 for art league members and $70 for non-members.
The attendance will be limited so make you
reservation early by sending a deposit of $20
(marked your check: June workshop) to ESAL, PO Box
151, Onancock, VA 23417. Reservation cut-off date is
June 8th .

ATTENTION ALL
ARTISTS - CAUTION
As recently reported in
an email, one of our members was alerted to an email
scam in selling artwork.
The artist is contacted
to purchase several of their art pieces. The
buyer wants immediate shipment and says they will
pay by "certified" check or maybe a credit card.
Several other members
have received one of these email requests. One
member was supposedly contacted by a person in
England for 4 of her paintings. Another, from
the Isle of Mann. ALL OF
THESE WERE BOGUS. Seller beware. If
you get such a request, proceed with caution.
